CONCLUDING DAY

WELLINGTON, October 28. The Wellington Racing Club's Spring meeting was concluded at Trentham today. The weather was perfect, and thero was a record attendance of 9000, including tho Governor, the Premier, and several other Ministers and M.P.'s. Tho totalisator turnover \yis £28,412 (a record), making £38,227 for thn meeting, compared with £45,323 last Spring meeting. Tho deficiency is due to the bad weather on Saturday. Results :—

Tararua Handicap.—3 Monekton and Addington's Brown Trout (R. Hatch) 1, 4 J. Hoses' Daunton 2, 12 J. C. Anders's Avaunce 8.10 3. Also started— Dirge-, Torpoint, Otaraia. Time, lmin. 30 4-ssecs.

Juvenile Handicap.— 1 W. Nidd's Peronella 8.0 (C. Emerson) 1, 3 Fairchild's Secret Link 7.7 2, 6 C. Waddley's Prince Laddo 7.7 3. Also started—Gladful. Payola, Land Rail, Guiding Way, Won by three quarters of a length. Prince Laddo a head behind Secret Link. Time, 53 4-osccs. Spring Trial Stakes.—l E. Bidwell's Exertion (Tricklebank )1, 2 Mr. Highden's Lockwood 2, 3 J. D. Ormond's Mi«silo 3. Also started —Merry Guy, Coutley, Parky, Red Book, Otter, Elevated, Valtire. Won easily by a length, Missile about three lengths behind Lockwood. Time, lmin. 21 4-ssecs. Pearco Handicap.—l 2 Sir Knox 7.12 (L. Wilson) 9, J. "R. Furzo's Medallist 7.2 2, T. Second Hack and Hunters' Steeplechase.—2 Rangitane (Fletcher) 1, Ranter 2, 8 Ellwell 3. Also ran—Kelp, Gondolier, Highden, Zulu, Major Webb. Won by a neck, Ellwell half a, furlong back. Kelp and Zulu fell. Time, 5 mind. 50secs.

Champion Plate.—l Equitas (Hatch) 1, Highden's Bronze 2, 3 Bobrikoff 3. Also started —Sea Queen. Won by three parts of a length, Bobrikoff six lengths ofi. Time, 2mins. 16 4-ssecs.

Ruahine Handicap.—Suratura (Berry) 1, 2 Lady Volga 2, 5 Ladino 3. Also ran-y-Sanguinary, Monologue, Lady Louisa, Hamurana. Won by four lengths. Time, 2mins. 20 3-ssecs. Niainai Handicap.—4 Undecided (W. Young) 1, 2 Leapuki 2, 5 Mt. Victoria 3. Also ran—Makara, Piriwai, Prosper, Bracken, Negative, Distinction. Won by a nose. Time, lmin. 21 l-ssecs.
