TENDERS FOR RAILS

The Hoskins (Lithgow) Company is to supply 10,000 tons of rails for the Transcontinental Railway at £8 15s a ton. Two firms belonging to the American Stoel Trust will supply 18,000 tons each at £8 10s. An English tender was not accepted.
