Tho dog classes havo been only two years in existence, but they aro rapidly gaining prominence as a feature of the show. Each year tho classes "havo been an unqualified success, with tho result that the committee is doing its utmost to make a, big display annually in the dog sections. A vspacious and well-appointed building with permanent benches* is provided for tho dogs. The N.Z. Kennel Club has awarded challenge classes to field spaniels (any variety), and Airedalo terriers.

Tho Associatimi has been fortunate in securing the services of a first class manager for the dog .sections. Ho is himself n keen fancier and a breeder of some of tho best-known ■ stock in tho Dominion. A competent caretaker has charge of all the dogs, and exhibitors from a. distance will havo their dogs met at tho station, if thoy are consigning to tho secretary. They will afterwards be returned to their respective owners, who need have no worry whatever._ A qualified otuside judge has been appointed as usual, and everything points to a splendid show. Schedules may bo obtained from the secretary (Mr. F. G. Treweek).
