PROTEST AGAINST LORD ROBERTS' SPEECH.

A number of Liberals, including Sir A. Markham, Messrs Noel Buxton. Silvester Home and Byles, Sir G. Morell and Sir C. Spicer, nnd Mr Murray Mcl>onald have signed a protest against Lord Roberts' Manchester .speech. Tho protest expresses entire disbelief of Germany's warlike intentions and deplores the bitterness which sucji statotuents cause.
