Mr. Lloyd George says that including extras and tuberculosis treatment, the Government proposed to assure doctors 7s. per head* of the insured population; Is. 6d. was assigned for drugs, and an extra sixpence, assigned drugs, would be added as remurferation to the doctors. If drugs were not required, the exchequer wcufd defray £1.650.000. If there- were abnormal circumstances, the central fund would make a special grant for drugs. Dr. Barr, president- of the Medical Association, states that !Mr ; Lloyd George's terms form the basis of the agreement, but the problem is not entireiv monetary.
