Tho facts as to the girl's •movements brought out wero that she left hor situation, without leave; for a week in June, tho.t sho was seen on several occasions with yachtsmen, and thp.t on the evening of Sunday, July 14, tho night before the crime was discovered, sho was observed walking towards tho South Beach with a man in a grey suit. A couple of weeks ago George Ward, a youthful fisherman, surrendered to tho police, confessing that ho hnd murdered tho girl.
