(It was cabled on Monday that Titus had been committed for trial on a charge of murdering a barmaid. He ran amok In Tottenham Court Road on the 26th September. He shot two barmaids, one of whom subsequently died, and rushed into the street and wounded three of his pursuers, one seriously, before he was -arrested.)
