The Marconi Co. is erecting at San Francisco and Honolulu stations of the same type as those which it is proposed to construct for the British Imperial scheme. Tho new Marconi station at Honolulu has been so designed as to enable wireless communication to bo established at a little later date with similar stations to lie erected at Yokohama and in tho Philippine Islands.
Tho Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. of America have commenced proceedings for infringement of patent against the Federal Wireless Telegraph Co., which has established communication between San Francisco and Honolulu by means of tho Poulsen system.
A contract has been entered into with tho Norwegian Government for the erection of high power stations in Norway and tho vicinity of New York for the purpose of conducting a commercial telegraph service between Northern Europe and America. The receipts of the point stations will be pooled by the Norwegian Government and the Marconi Wireless Telegranh C 0... and divided equally between them. Marconi receivr" the sum of £7000 for the Norwegian station, exclusive of the site, foundations and buildings, and 10 per cent, of the cross receipts. The contract is for a definite neriod of 25 years, at tho e>nd of which time the Norwegian Government has tho right to renew it.
