THE DANGER OF THE TOTE

Mr. Bruntnell, an Assemblyite, speaking against the totalisator, said that no doubt it had a fascination, and it had led to an increased volume of betting amongst all classes in New Zealand. The real danger, it seemed, would bo that it draw into its toils the individual who would not dream of betting with a bookmaker.
