In the Arbitration Court this morning it was 6tated that a claim for compensation by Frederick Norris, a miner, against the Waihi Gold Mining Company had been settled, the defendant agreeing to a judgment for £250. The ' plaintiff was struck on the head by a piece of rock falling from a rise. He had his sight and hearing permanently /injured by the accident. '. j At the Arbitration Court to-day Mr. ! Rosser, for the Performing Musicians' Union, reported that he had conferred
