MELBOURNE, October 8

Preparations for tho visit of tho Trade Commission in April are being made by a special staff at the Commonwealth Bureau of Statistics. The States have been invited to forward^ facts showing their economic view-point. After 'New Zealand, the Commission will visit Tasmania. Investigations will not cover merely existing conditions, but tho (potential wealth which is at present undeveloped, so far as that touches immigration and tho consolidation of the Empire.
