ANNUAL MEETING
The Wanganui Scenery Preservation and Beautifying Society held its annual meeting in the Council Chambers last evening. There was a very large attendance, over which Mr. T. Allison presided. Apologies were received from Messrs. A. Hatrick, Neame, and M. Snurdle.
Minutes.—The minutes of the last annual general meeting were read and confirmed.
Election of Officers.—President, M,r. A, Hatrick; Vice-Presidents, Messrs. T. Allison, J. H. Burnett, Babbage, L. Cohen, W. T. Benefiold, J. T. Stowart, and Mrs. Suisted; committee — Wanganui East branch two members, St. John's Hill two, Gonvillo two, Wanganui two, Durie Hill two. and Castlecliff one; secretary, Mr. F. J. Walker; treasurer, Mr. C. Goldsbury; hon. auditor, Mr. Gco. Murch.
Thanks.—On the motion of Mr. F. Webb-Jones, a hearty vote of thanks was passed to the Garden Fete committee t also to tho workers at the Fete., for the excellent work rendered by them to the society.
Committee Meeting.—The new committee will meet next Monday evening to discuss imtjortant bminesj.
