ADELAIDE, Jan. 25. The Amateur Swimming Union in conference adopted.a tentative agreement, which has a currency to July next, providing that all contracting parties to the agreement must become affiliated to the Union before that date. A mail voto will be taken on the question of tho alteration of the constitution. A New Zealand application to be allowed to become a party to the agreement, with the provision that the Dominion be permitted to send representatives at the carnivals, will be -welcomed during tho currency of the present agreement, and due notice will be given of the date on which the new agreement is to be drawn up, so that New Zealand may send a delegate to the conference.
