The authorised capital is a million and a-lialf, comprising 750,000 each of cumulative 6 per cent, preference and ordinary shares.of £1 each.- The first issue is 500,000 of each denomination^ oi which 375,000* of each are to be taken bj» the vendor company in payment oh properties transferred. The reasons for creating the new organisation are that business and individual interests have outgrown the scope of a proprietary concern. Expanding trade calls for additional vessels. The intention of t rh-3 directors is to order one or two new steamers early in the year.
