Mr. Arthur A. Paape, who has been appointed secretary of the New Zealand Sports Protection League, left by second express to-day to take up new duties in Wellington. Though a ydung man, Mr. Paape has been probably one of the best known,figures in Invercargill, and he was given a cordial send-off by a large crowd of friends. During the few past Weeks Mr. Paape has been the recipient of a large number of presentations from more than a, dozen bodies with" which he was associated, and from personal friends.
