In connection with a cable from London re the registration of the Inglewood (Now''Zealand) Oilfields Company, a "Daily News" representative' interviewed the chairman of.■ directors of the Inglowood Oil and Prospecting Coy. (Mr. Thomas Furlong, juiir.), who stated that the syndicate with whom he had been in communication was ■ I'cspresent.jd in N. 55. by Mr. A. T. Bate, of Wellington, who had assured.! him that the directors were a strong imd wealthy syndicate. Tlicy will work the properties and options over 7.500 acres in the Ingle wood distivt and 12,000 acres in Mokau, and conclusively test its resources. .If warranted by prospecting, a larger company would be formed, in which the present phareholdeys would have a third interest, besides a probable ensh^payiTicnt. Meanwhile the company will not transfer any- ol: its options or interests. The syndicate is prepared to expend a large amount of its capital in prospecting
