Considerable damage has been done in the Tambo River .Valley, and niuch maize has been destroyed. . Along the Mitchell and other rivers the stock was removed in time to prevent loss. At Seymour some of the streets are under water. The police-station is only reachable by boats, and the people.hal,'-' ing business at the Courthouse are utUisins boats. ' , A horse and cart belonging to a baker named Jlerden, at Maldon, wevo found in a creek. Rerden is supported to have been drowned.
