Tho Supreme Court sessions opened here to-day before Mr Justice Ed-wards.
A young Maori named Munga Waionga" pleaded guilty to a charge of breaking and entering and theft at Okaiawa, and was sentenced to . 12 months' hard labour and ordered reformatory treatment for a, period not exceeding four years.
Alexander '■'■■;'Blue, charged with house-break ing and theft at. Hawera, was found guiltyvof theft and sentenced to 12 months' hard labour and reformatory ••treatment not exceeding 3 years.
Lewis John Pepperell, a. youth apparently nineteen years of age, was charged with Carnally knowing a girl over 12 and under 16 years of age v and the jury disagreed, a fresh trial being ordered for next sessions. The accused'whs released on bail.
