Last evening tjife Baptist Band ot Hope met in the schoolroom, when the best attendance since the commencement was recorded. It was decided to hold a social about July 13th, also that no meeting be held on Friday next. A most interesting programme was gone through, which included an interesting address by the Rev. A. S. Wilson. This afternoon the Wanganui East Beautifying Society will be very busy planting upwards of 500 trees on No. 2 so jtion above the Rustic Bridge. Tho ground has been ploughed and well harrowed. It is hoped that a veTy^" large attendance of.helpers will be on the spot to help with the good \rork. There arc many who would find the afternoon, a very happy one if they would just try it. Why not? and soassist a good work.
