HAY WARD'S PICTURES.
The audience which assembled at the" Lyceum last evening to witness the bi>*eekiy change of programme was treated to a fine exhibition of pictorial gems. The programme opened \ with?. I'athe's Australian Gazette, wjiich is :i good number, the views of Papua be--ing very fine. Pathe's Gazette Avas ait (.■ven better number than its Australian: com rert:, showing the recent disaster ■ at the Bolton mine, and splendid T'iews of the mammoth Cunard liner Mnuretanla, besides a fine lot of otherscenes. "Views of the Isle of Wight""" v.as a capital scenic, the film giving: some really splendid views of Cowes and other places. The dramatics are an excellent lot, "The Majesty of the Law" being a splendid subject by the popular Vitagraph Company. "As the Bells Rang Oat" was another dramatic of a high order, as was also "The Letter." Comics were strongly represented, and created hilarious laughter, the best being "Beware of the Bomb" "4 Woman's Vanity," "A Flirty Affliction," and "Highfiytle's Aeroplane.'" As usual, the selections by the orchestra were much appreciated. The "tipup- chairs were in use m the circleior the nrst time, and are a decided acquisition, adding greatly to the comiort or patrons.
