SEARCH PARTIES RECALLED

BRISBANE, March 22
A ;steamer'-lias been dispatched to pick up Staniforth Smith's search parties, which are stall out and unaware of the party's return. After the disaster to the raft Smith was bootless, and suffered .terribly from ulcerated feet, until he constructed hoots of fibre.
Speaking at a luncheon, Mr Smith declared that the party's equipment for the expedition would have been ample but for the mishap on the river. T.t /ylie coal discoveries wero found roaehablo it would bo via the Sti*icklund River.
