The annual general meeting of the i>bove club was held in Dustin's Rooms last evening. Mr Alf Gray presided over ■p. large attendance of members. An apology for absence was received from Mr John Stevenson.

The minutes of the last annual general meeting were read and confirmed. The annual report and'balance-sheet were adopted. The report ran as follows :—

"In presenting this report your committee has to congratulate tha club on the position attained in the Various competitions. Although not actual winners of any championship, the club held the unique position of being run-ners-ifp in the senior, junior, and fourth grades. Had tho teams trained more consistently, the club wduld probably have won higher honours. In reviewing the past season's play we must bear in mind the success attained by our sister clubs, and we now take this cportunity of congratulating them on their well-earned victories. Your club is happily-in a good financial position, there being a small credit balance, and no outstanding: liabilities. In this connection we desire to record our thanks a-nd appreciation* to the following gentlemen for their (financial assistance: Dr A. H. E Wall, Messrs H. W. Cooper, and Joint, Stevenson. (During the year the e!ul> held a very successful dance, arid your committee recommend that a dance be held annually. The club also held a smoke concert, which vas much appreciated by all. Mr L. J. Southeombe had the honour of again winning the Wakefield Cup, a3 the 'best all-round player in the team. Your committee much gret the loss the club has sustained in the departures of Messrs F. C Atkinson (club"captain), Gordon Aikon, and F. S. Swan, all of whom have worked hard towards the success of the rj-üb, i'nd Wi3 desire to record, our appreciation of their services; In conclusion your committee wish the club a successful season which can only be obtained by the hearty co-operation of all the members."

A circular from the Wanganui Rugby Union re accident, assurance for players "•as read, and on the motion of'Mr L J. Southoombe it was decided to support the scheme.

Rankin, John Stevenson, J. L. Stevenson, A. G. Bignell, R. Mathieson, W. Treadwell, H. TilJey, G. Marshall, and W. H. Cooper. Club captain, Mr Ray. Richardson; secretary, Mr S. H. Smith; assistant secretary, Mr D. G. Moore; treasurer. Mr L. J. Southcombe: auditor, Mr P. Lewis; selector, Mr C. O. Berg; committee, C. Swan, .Berg, Findlay", Laird, Northover, Jago, and another. Representative selectors' It was decided to support the selection of three selectors for representative teams, and the selecting was left in the hands of the committee. Delegates to the Wanganui Rugby Union: Dr H. E. Wall, Messrs A. Gray and Cowper; delegate on management committee, Mr A Gray. The club is to open the season on April 3. y Mr Cowper, an' old member of the club, has presented the club with a football. ~.■■,
