SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY.

The Anniversary of the Primitive Methodist Sunday School, which was celebrated yesterday, was a great success. In the morning Rev. S. Bailey save a very forceful address, his text's being Psalm 126, verse 6. In the afternoon Rev. E. D. Patchett gave a fine address on "Joseph's Coat of many colours," and was listened to with attention. In the evening Rev S. Bailey took for his text 1 Cor. 7-25) verse, "Time is short," also from 2 Cor. 6, 2nd verse, "Now is the accepted time." He was listened throughout with wrapt attention and forced home his truths. The children's singing was the feature of the day. Never did the scholars singbetter. The soloists rendered each item in fine style. Much praise is due to Mrs. Sewell and Miss Huckstep for the time they devoted to the training of the children, also to Mr. Hoffmann who wielded the baton so successfully. The anniversary services will be continued on Tuesday, viz tea meeting .6.30. public meeting ' 7.30. Addresses will be given by Mr J Jones (Mayor of Wanganui East) and Mr. Barton, B.A. The children will repeat their choruses, recitations solos, etc. The distribution of prizes will also take place.
