The Wanganui Trotting Club intsnd! to provide the sporting public with two good days' enjoyment this week,, their autumn meeting taking place orr Thursday and Friday next There are seven events dow?i on the programme «aeh day, including two one-mile sprints and lj mile races, whilst the big race each day is over .two miles. The club have provided a. very liberal biH^of-fare, giving away £403 in st:ikes in the two days, in addition to which Mr H. F. Nichpll, of Ashburton, will present th© winner of the Cup with a handsome silver cup. The club have received a ready responds from horse-owners, the total nominations numbering 165, and under Mr Ulic Shannon's . capable adjustment there have been very few defections, so .that thnr.e will be good fields in ■pvery event The competitors include representatives from all parts—Waikato, Napier, Wairarapa, Wellington, Christchurch, and Nelson, whilst Taranaki and Manaia are well represented; so we may expect to se© a thoroughly representative gathering. The totaiisator will be under the capable management of Messrs Neylon and Sprig-■g<-ns and to meet the small betters they have very considerately decided to put on a half-sovereign machine, as well as the usual £1 machine The catering uill be in the hands of Dusthrs, Ltd.f-w--whilst Mr Tom Nixon, of the Metropoli- X tan, will have charge of the publican's booths. The Wnngauni Jockey Club have kindly placed all their appointments at the disposal of the Trotting Club, so that nothing should -be.want--, ing to ensure a most successful meet.Tlie Hutt V ralley Trotting Club have kindly lent their starting clock, which Mill be controlled by Mr Shannon.

Members are reminded that a meeting of the Committee will take place at 8 o'clock to-night, when a full attendance is requested; as all final arrangements in connection with the races will be made.
