LAND AND LICENSING.
The Prime Minister stated to-day that the Government proposed to go on with the Licensing Bill on Thursday afternoon if the House did a reasonable amount of work to-day. " What do you mean by going on,''" queried Mr. Massey. , "We intend to put it through," said Sir Joseph Ward. Mr. Massey expressed ithe opinion that it Avould not be this Parliament. He asked when the Land Bill Avould be taken.
- Sir Joseph said.he would1 not object to going on Avith the Land Bill after the second reading of the Licensing Bill. > Mr. Massey AA-as gratified. "I.Avould like to make the Land Bill a good Bill," he said. "It "leaves a good deal to be desired noAA r."
