The "Chronicle" states that owing to the boom in the tin plate trade, five hundred workers' dwellings arcno w being erected at Llanelly, where a thousand more hands will be employed next j'ear, and the output increased fifty per cent.
The "Daily News" states that Harlfaid and Wolff of Belfast are constructing vessels valued at five millions sterling, including the three million AY bite Star liners.

The Russian naval estimates for 1910 show an increase of £230,000, and include £2.800,0(10 for new construction against £900 000 last year.

The Raihvay Commission has been instructed to investigate the methods of the Telegraph Companies in Canada in consequence of complaints of discrimination in the matter of tolls.
BERLIN, September 20
The employment agency law of Germany fixes the fees for security of posts as follows :—Domestic servants and governesses, 6s. ; hank officials, editors, engineers, 15s. The maximum cost of advertisements is to be 2s. It is hit-ended, that the low fees shall concentrate emnlovment in the hands of the Labour Bureau.
