UPROAR IN SOCIALIST CONGRESS

An uproar was caused at the Socialist Congress by Ivcix Hardie advocating a strike of the trades producing war material whenever a war was declared. German speakers denounced the English Socialists, hooting the military anci naval estimates.

Keir Hardie denied that he had promised a campaign among the worKsr.^ against militarism.
