LIVING NEW ZEALAND PICTURES
TO-NIGHT
This evening at the Lyceum Theatre Messrs Hayward and Cooper will represent by arrangement with the New Zealand Government one of the finest .series of living pictures yet projected on a screen. The series have been named by ihe Tourist Department "Living New Zealand," and depict its people and their work, its industries, its superb scenery, its magnificent rivers, i+s superlative! v beautiful .sounds, and its marvellous thermal wonders, together with pictorial peev>s at Maori life. The first series will include the visit of King George V. and Queen Mary to New Zealand in 1901, when, with the late Right Won.'Richard Seddon, they visite-.l Rot-run. Tlrs picture shows the great carnival which was arrinured for the royal visit, including canoe racing, the Wairoa Geyser at Play. Maori h'aka. and dnnce, and the wonderful Blue Bath. The other films include "Life on a Sheep and Cattle Stntio." "The Mail Train Ascendir.e Rimutaka Mountain." "Inspection of Boy Scouts by Lord Kitchener." "Our Roekbound Coasts." and the great Waikato River—its falls and rapids. These pictures are said to equal in interest and loveliness any pnrt of ■tjhe- wbrld. In addition to "Itivinc New Zealand." a magnificent series of latest pictorial .studies will be presented. The management request patrons to avoid disappointment by s>?cun'nic seat?: at H. I. Jones. The plan for reserved seats will be on view at the theatre this 'afternoon from 2.30, on account of the half-holiday. A spec-I'•■'l matinee will be given on Saturday afternoon nt 2.30.
