The Republican committee has nominated Viee-Preside'nt Sherman, rejecting Theodore Roosevelt, to the temporary chairmanship of the State Convention, despite President Taft's disapproval of the opposition to Roosevelt. The fight will probably continue at the meeting of the Convention at Saratoga on September 27. The committee's action proves that it will not allow Rbuseveit 'Xi outline the Rf3publioan State policies.
