"ALADDIN."

At the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 23 and 24, Mr J. C. Williamson, will again present Wangnnui audiences with a pantomime, and extravagant though it may ,sound to tlioso ttho enjoyed a performance of "Jack and Jill"' 3 last year, the coming production, it is {stated, easily outclasses all previous pantomimes. Of course, each year the task of pi'oviding an attraction to eclipse the previous one becomes more difficult, but Mr Williamson has arrived at the conclusion that neither money nor trouble must stand in the way. Last year he visited Europe himself, and at the same time deputed Mr Gerard Coventry (the producer) to tour America to search for attractions and novelties. It is claimed that the features of "Aladdin" are of a nature to make people sit_ back and gasp in amazement. ! There is the wonderful balloon effect, the fire ballet, the beautiful 'Australian bird ballot, tho "stupendous human .electric flag of Australia," and the wonderful demon incantation scene. Perhaps the most sensational feature in the whole performance is the amazing comedy acrobatic turn by Mes?rs Price and Revost and the comic antics by Mr William Hassan as the donkey create much merriment. The company includes Messrs Harry Phyrl'ora. of "Mother Goose" renown, J. M. Campbell, who made himself so popular in "Jack and Jill," Victor Loydall, Rupert Darrell. Clvdo Cook, andßert Watson, also the Misses Marie Eaton. Eva Moore (sister of Carrie Moore), Lena Eric-son, Stella. Selbourne,-Winnie Harbor, Ivy Schilling, Florrie Sutherland, and Nance Maher. Altogether over 250 people are said to take part in the performance. There will be a special matinee performance on Wedn rs'lay afternoon, to which children will be admitted for half-price. The plans will he opened at Jones's on Friday morning next at 8 o'clock.
