The banks and Mint have decided to refuse wilfully defaced silver coins except at their intrinsic value.

In the Assembly, the Clerks Minimum Wage Bill has been introduced. The measure provides that the Industrial Court when properly approached may fix a minimum, classifying, by age 5 experience, qualification, nature of employment, or otherwise. The Judge of an Industrial Court may draw up regulations. BRISBONE, August 13.
