JULY WOOL SALES
The Bank of New Zealand has received the following cable from its London office:—.
The sales have- opened with strong; competition and a large attendance of buyers. There is an active demand by Home and foreign buyers.
Prices for all kinds of cro-ssbreds are par to 5 per cent, lower occasionally; lambs' wool unchanged. Current prices for "North Island farmers' lots, Palnierston North style: —■ Ooarse crossbreds, -36-40's quality, average condition, 9^d to lOd; medium crossbreds, 44-46's quality, lid to 11^-d ; hno crossbreds, 50 s quality, 13^d to 14|d. * -
