AN OFFER FROM ABROAD

New Plymouth people were keenly interested to-day in the fact that the directors of the Taranaki Petroleum Company was sitting almost continuously throughout the day considering cabled offers from' abroad for .the purchase of the Company's interests. At a late hour to-night they adjourned without having come to a decision and will meet' again to-morrow. It is stated semi-officially 'that an excellent, offer has been made and one that the! shareholders would jump at, bub the terms of the offer, are such that the directorate will probably not 'wait for the shareholders' .confirmation. Further news is anxiously awaited. Matters proceed satisfactorily at the veils at Moturoa.
