RAILWAY FATALITY

AUCKLAND, October 18. George Balmo, storekeeper oi Bombay, was driving across the level crossing at Runciman's on Satuiiday evening, ■when a goods train arriving from Auckland collided with the trap and throw Balmo out. Falling on his head, he was killed instantly. The trap was smashed, and the horse fatally injured. Balme, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was driving to the station to meet his wife.
