PA^MERSTON N., October 15. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report for the week ending October 15th :—. At Apiti on Tuesday a good yarding of sheep and cattle came forward, and realised good prices. We quote: Mixed hoggets (small) 9s Bd, wether hoggets to 11s 6d, fat wethers 14s ewes and lambs 14® Id to 16s 3d. CattleStore cows £2 10s tc- £3, forward cows £3 7s 6d, cows in milk £5 10s, springing heifers £3 5s to £5 3s 6d, springing cows £5 o s to £7 13s. Pigs, horses and a large quantity of sundries and furniture made- gocd values.
At Feilding on Friday, we had ' a small yarding of sheep and a fair entry of cattle, consequent on the increased price of frozen mutton at Home. Sheep took a sharp rise-, all lines being keenly competed for. We quote: Store wethers 13s 3d, store cows 37s 6ci to £2 17s, fat empty cows £3, weaners 20s 6d. cows and calves £2 16s, fat 'jows £5 7s.
