WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALES.

PALMERSTON N., October 15. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows:—

We held our usual monthly sale on Friday, 15th inst., and submitted a catalogue of 62 bales and bags of wools, 1400 sheep skins, 1300 en If skins, 250 large hides and the usual quantities of tallow, hair and tail®. Buyers were ivell represented and bidding' throughout was most spirited and the prices compare favourably with late rates. Wool.—Fino Romney 9d, crossbred

medium to fine 7|d to B^d, dead 6£d to 7^d. black v o^d, lambs 6£d, crutchings 4^d to 6d, bellies and pieces s£d to sfd, locks and pieces 2£d to s^. Skins.—Crossbred fine 6d to B|d, medium s|d to 7£d, inferior 4|d to 6%d, dead 4£d to.6£d, dead hoggets 6d 3 lambs 7d, black s^d, quarter wools s|d, pelts 4fd, butchers' skins at per piece, crossbred medium to fine 7s bo 8s 4d, crossbred medium 5s 5d to 7s 2d, inferior 3s lOd to 5s sd, lambs Is Id, pelts Is sd, green 3s 103, dead 3s 3d to 7s 2d, salted 2s Bd.

Calf Skins-.—The best price of the salo for calf skins was 10^d per lb, which was equal to 4s 3d for a 51b skin heavier calf skins realised 5s 6d to 7s 7d each.

Hides.—Ox heavy 6^d to 6 3-Bd, medium 6£d to 6^d, light s|d to 6d, cows, heavy s^d to s|d to 6d, medium s|d to 6<i, light 5d to 5 7-Bd, cut and slippy 3£d to sd, heifers 5 7-8 d to 6d. steers 5 7-Bd, honse 10s each. Tallow. —Tins 21s 6d per cwt, casks 23s i>er cwt, rough fat 17s per cwt. Cow hair d{d to Is 4^d, horse hair Is 3kl per pound.
