The many friends cf Consteable Satherly will regret-to hear that he and his wife are both seriously ill at Otaki,. of which station Mr Satherly is now in •charge.
Mr W, H, McQuarters, who until recently was in charge of the Wanganui branch of the Labour Department, was presented with a gold medal by a number of friends. The medal was made by Mr D. Bara?tt, and the engra\ ring done by Mr F. D. Gaffaney, both of whom are to br> congratulate:! upon the workman-hip displayed.
