WELLINGTON, June 30.

Last night's fierce southerly raised an angry sea in the Strait. The Takapuna, from Pictrm, had a rough time in the mountainous seas, which pounded heavily on the- starboard quarter in the Strait. The co.is smashed over the ve&sel fore and aft. Two ventilators wero swept away, and part of the saloon skylight was smashed, and the water found its way-into the salcon.
