Tho {members of the Women's Branch of the.National Defence League are to bo highly commended for their splendid effortss towards securing increased support ajnd.in arousing interest amongst tho mien . and women of Wanganui in regard to universal defence- training on tho li ties so adirimibly set. out by the Council at the headquarters of the National Defence League in Auckland. The Iftcal Council of the women's branch have I since Mr McNab's great public meeting in tho Opera House on Juno 3rd; last, held-noMess than five meetings and enrolled over two hundred .as, - members of the ./National Defence Loagw.e in favour cf universal defence trainij'ng for our youths botween the ageg Jot" 14 > and 21 years.
