WEBB'S RECORD.

Born at Lyttelton in'lßßo, and is now 29 years of age. After competing with great success at an amateur, during which time he won the single scull championship of New Zealand three times, he was matched against Stanbury, one of the best'scullers the world has produced. That-race was row^d on Boxing Day, 1906, being the chief attraction put on by the -Wanganui Christmas Carnival Committee) for that year. Then followed his race against Charlie Towns, in which he won the championship of the. world, and. last year he proved too good for Dick Tresidder, who came over to take the ttle back to New South Wales, if possible. The \ following is Webb's record summarised :—
