HODSON "PARKVILLE."

. One of the most up-to-date and bestappointed ' private hotels on this coast is Mr Jas. Hudson's "Parkville" Private Hotel, in Ridgway Street. It is conveniently situated, being- only one minute from 'the railway . station" and General Post Office. Besides being'the recognised place for tourists and the travelling public, it is an ideal luncheon resort for business men and others. Mr Hodsori's 12 to 2 hot luncheon at 1 will be difficult to beat; patrons have also the privilege of using '- the srnoking-lounge-room, writing room, or sittingroom after luncheon, which should be Highly appreciated, especially during the winter months. From a residential point of view a glance through the visitors' book will convince one that no pains or expense has been spared to -make guests comfortable and at home. The building throughout is well furnished, the passages and corridors heavily carpeted; in fact, it is cosy and comfortable right through. The lavn r tories and bath-rooms (hot and cold water) are of the latest. The cuisine has been paid .special attention to, Mr Hodson having been fortunate to engage an experienced chef, so that patrons may rely on having a first-class menu placed before them . The diningroom, which leads from the hall, is well furnished, and the lighting has received special attention. The room is in the charge of experienced hands, and patrons have no "wait" between courses. A motor-car is kept in connection with the establishment, and guests may arrange with the proprietor to be driven round at a moderate charge, see the whole of Wanganui and suburbs, or take a run into the country if desired. This car is also on hire to the public, is in charge of an experienced man, aiid the fares, as before mentioned, are moderate. The Parkville stands alone, Mr Hodson having no connection with any other business in the town, is thus enabled to give his undivided attention to the comfort and convenience of guests and patrons.
