NAPIER, June 16. .Chore ivas fine, weather and a big attendance to-day at the first day of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Cub's winter meeting. The sum of £6045 passed through the totalisatpr, as compared with £6153 on the first day last year, a decrease of £108. Seventeen bookmakers at a fee of £21 10s were licensed.
