VIOLENT EARTHQUAKES IN FRANCE.
AN ALARMING EXPERIENCE
(Unfßed Press Association-—Copyright.) Received Jime; 13, 5.30 p.m. PARIS/ June 13. Two violent earthquake shocks were felt throughout the Riviera and at Marseilles. There was great excitement in the streets and cafes.
Six places were plunged into darkness owing to the failure of the electric light. '
The entire population of the town stayed outdoors till the dawn.
Houses '-collapsed iri several towns, and there were a few fatalities. Ships at Toulon strained ..: at their cables. '■'■ ..-■';.
