Sir.—l am sorry if I have misinterpreted Mr .Walter Grey's opinions on the concession in tram fares question. I was not at his meeting and accept his assurance that my information is not correct. In any case from the tenor of hh remarks "re it being absurd to suppose that £15 profits in three months in any way equa led depreciation on £50,000 worth of plant, etc., it is hard to imagine how he can logically urge a reduction. If to Eastown workers why not to the c'ty clerks, shop girls, school children, etc., and where aio wo to draw the line? I say let the trams run for 12 months before we talk CCmCeSSi°nS-T amJAMES T.
