The Royal Commission's report on (ommunicf.tion between Sydney arid North Sydney favours the construction of subways on the grounds that the fairway of the harbour would not be obstructed a 3 it would b^ by the erection of a, bridg3, and the capital cost is less ti ian that of a bridge. The report also tve mmonds the subway for railway traffic with tha city terminus in Moore Suvet, corti-g, £753,000, a, second for tramways to cost £460,000, and a third for vehicular traffic to cost £502,000.
