WANGANUI J.C. AUTUMN MEETING.

The weather promises to be again fine for the second day's!, races of the Wanganui Jockey" Club, and another large attendance is practically assured. Although tho fields are not very large, good racing should again be witnessed, and a capital day's sport will no doubt ho afforded those who attend.

Tho track is very hard in places, and this, to a certain extent, has found a weak spot with some of the contestants, the owners and trainers not wishing to risk a breakdown, using the scratching pen freely.

It has been decided to hold the races to-day on No. 1 track, as the course proper is deemed unsafe. An inspection yesterday shotted the usual coiirsa to be quite unsafe for racing, as it has. been badly cut up in two or three places. Rangipapa was withdrawn yesterday from the Jackson Stakes.
