Mr A. Wade, conductor of the Garrison Band, returned ±o town last > evening, accompanied by Mrs- Wade -and family, they having come from Australia by the steamer ;Mararaa. A wire from Wellington says that Emma Goldman (Socialist lecturer) leaves San Francisco within a fow days for a tour of N.Z. and Australia. .
( ,"A Gore wire, says that the Board of Governors last night appointed Mr Hunter (of Stratford) to the position of Headmaster of the Gore High School. There were 25 applpications for the position.
