Ihough the weather was dull/a large crowd of spectators went over to Day's £ ay yesterday U> witness the games in the Ladies' Hockey Tournament, which ll°T n GII In the senior grade, Canterbury beat Wellington four goals to nil Hawke's Bay beat Wairarapa A by five to nil, Nelson beat Wairarapa B by eight to nil, and Wellington B had a bye. Junior matches rtsulted as follows:—Wellington A beat Jlawke s Bay by two to nil. and Horowhenua beat Wanganui by six to nil Wellington B had a bye.
