SEPTEMBER NUMBER ISSUED

The September issue of "Good Cheer," .New Zealand's popular home journal, made its appearance on Tuesday. This issue, .which.> constitutes the fifth number, -welt .maintains - the high standard of its predecessors. . The journal is in every way admirably adapted for. ;the home.. Firet and, foremost, the ladies"are well catered for. Some eight pages are devoted to the Realm of Fashion, the fashions being up-to-date in every particular, while a cut pattern is given away free. There is also a page "About the House/ which contains valuable recipes ;.and hints. The recipes are supplied by a lady who has proved .their worth,, and they may be implicitly relied upon. Hints on laundry work are also given, and an illustrated page of " dainty work for dainty fingers" will be found. The young folks have two pages set aside for their letters and Vpuzzles, while a short story is published for their benefit. Various competitions for young and old, are given. Other members of the household will be.interested in the complete stories, illustrated articles, poet's page, etc. " Good Cheer " is everything its name suggests, and we are not surprised that it has won a large degree of popularity/ The journal will be sent post free to,any address for a year at the low price of half-a-crown.
