NAPIER, August 22. The Marist Brothers' new brick rchool in tfliakespearo Road, erected to replace tho wooden structure which was partially destroyed, by fire, was dedicated by Archbishop Redwood this afternoon. Piior to the ceremony, there was a larg:> nrocos^idn. headed by tho band from ~ St. ■ Patrick's Church, through ilie town to tho school. In the tour.se of his address, tho Archbishop congratulated rho Catholics) of Napier on the erection cf the school, and said it was one of the many evidences that the Catholic body throughout New Zealand wero df-termincd that thoir children should havo true religious education a.s well as perfect secular instruction The cost cairo from pockets of Catholics and ii* numerous cases from poekfcts of tho very poor. Tho Mayor of Napier (J. Vigor Brown) offered congratulations and J. C. Westall. member of the Napier High School Beard of Governors, also spoko. Tho ArchbishoD said that the "cost of tho building and the ' furnishing of the school was £1400. Nearly £60 was obtained by collection after, to-day's prooendings.
